FIRST TIME AT CHURCH?

We get people visiting all the time who have never been to church or not been for years, we know it can seem quite daunting! It might set your mind at ease to know that nothing is expected of you, turn up wearing whatever you want and feel free to sit at the back and just observe. Of course, you can also watch us online before you come, that might help you to know what to expect.

Our normal Sunday morning gatherings feature a time of sung worship with our live band (don't worry if you don't know the words) and a talk explaining a bit of the bible and applying it to daily life.

People are very friendly and usually, people hang around after the service to talk.

We would love to get to know you a bit better if you are thinking of coming.  You can fill out a connect card using the button below and someone will get in touch shortly.

WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS?

Our DBS checked leaders run a variety of different programs

AGES 2-14

Ages 2-14 have groups that they can go to on a Sunday morning where they can access age appropriate bible teaching. Children are welcome to stay in the service as well.

UNDER 2s

For those under 2 we have a creche at the back of church with a variety of age appropriate toys. Under 2s are welcome to use this at any point during the service as needed.

14+

We encourage our over 14s to take part in the service and join various teams. On a Monday night they have their own youth specific teaching sessions which all are welcome to.

PARKING AND TRANSPORT

We have a small car park at the rear of the church that you are welcome to use, there are also two disabled spaces with a ramp in the car park leading into the church building.  Please be aware that you will need to arrive early to get a space and might get blocked in (we act like one big family!).

Alternatively, there are a number of pay and display car parks nearby, the closest is at the end of Queen Street.  You can park at Aldi for two hours if you are shopping there and free parking is also available further up by the canal on Aldcliffe Road. If you have an electric car the closest charger is the shell rapid charger at Aldi.

If coming by bus the closest bus stop is outside the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Anything you like (within reason!) just wear whatever is comfortable for you, nobody expects you to come dressed smartly, but if you want to, you can! The majority of people dress casually.
No, you won't be singled our asked directly to do anything. Sometimes we encourage people to respond to what they've heard in a particular way but this is always optional and we try to a create an environment where people are free to make their own choices
No, we make giving available for our regular members but there is no obligation for anyone to give. For anyone who is a guest we would not expect them to give anything at all.
You are welcome regardless of your belief, orientation, gender, race or anything else. We will not pressurise anyone to change their beliefs, culture or worldview. We want to create a safe space for people to ask questions and be yourself.
We are members of the Evangelical Allience and the Free Methodist denomination, you can check our their faith statements online. We don't want to force anyone to believe what we do but see faith as a journey, we would be more than willing to talk about this further if you want to.
We make every effort to make church as safe as possible, our leaders are open handed and want to listen. We have two safe guarding officers, a regularly updated safe guarding policy and yearly safe guarding training to prevent any form of abuse. This is something we take very seriously.
